How much are the membership dues?

Dues in 2005 are:

  • Skilled Nursing Facilities - $50.75 per bed
    • $20.60 to AHCA
    • $30.15 to IHCA-ICAL-ICAL
  • Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded - $50.75 per bed
    • $20.60 to AHCA
    • $30.15 to IHCA-ICAL-ICAL
  • Residential Care Facilities - $17.00 per bed
    • $9.50 to AHCA
    • $7.50 to IHCA-ICAL-ICAL

 

If my facility is a member, how can I become involved?

We need employees from member facilities to serve on the board and on committees. Committees include:

  • Legislative
  • Reimbursement
  • Facility Standards
  • Political Action
  • Convention/Education
  • Public Relations

 

What are the passwords for the member's only information on the IHCA-ICAL and AHCA web sites?

Call the IHCA-ICAL office or look the "Idaho Update" the IHCA-ICAL Newsletter as the passwords are printed there.


Why belong to IHCA-ICAL as a facility member or a vendor associate member?

Are IHCA-ICAL dues tax deductible as a business expense?

Yes, most of the dues are tax deductible. The portion of dues that pays for lobbying expenses are not tax deductible. In 2001 the percentage of your AHCA dues that was tax deductible was 69.6%. In 2001 the percentage of your IHCA-ICAL dues that was tax deductible was 91%.IHCA-ICAL.


Are IHCA-ICAL dues a reimbursable expense under the Medicaid PPS system?

Yes, if your facility is under the cap.
